Controller configuration profile issue

The emulator is working great except for one downfall

Whenever I press the save button bellow the thumbstick input options it saves that configuration across all 4 controller settings.

When I press the save profile button at the top it saves a file but the file seemingly does nothing. When I load the saved profile it doesn't over write whatever was saved using the save button at the bottom so either the saved profile isn't loading up or the saved profile doesn't have any data.

So currently I am limited to having to change configuration manually every time I switch games unless I am missing something here? thanks

Why do you have a different profile for each game?

I have several controller's that I've tried, play station controllers, xbox360, xboxone controller. none of them are recognized by the emulator. =<
