Unhappy How to install driver for Xbox 360 controller?!

I just got PJ64 for my Vista and my xbox is currently being fixed so I planned to used the USB controller with PJ64 and mess around with older games until my 360 comes back.

I plugged in my controller and found the driver online from microsoft to have the computer identify it but PJ64 still doesnt pick it up. Is there anything Im missing from installing this controller?

All Ive done is plug it in and run PJ64. Is there anything else I must be doing to get the ball rolling?

All help would be appreciated! Thanks

Are you using a Wired or Wireless Controller? If wireless, Do you have the Receiver? or are you just using the power cord? The power Cord Does NOT Transmit the paddles input so you know, If it is Wired, Then windows should have configured it automatically if not, try looking up XBCD360 it might help you.

http://www.katch.ne.jp/~morii/driver/xi/index.html

Try this, right click INF and install (Xinput must be installed)

with this, you can get Rumble with pj64 and other emulators without loosing xinput support

still doesn't make the triggers work properly. only a proper dinput driver can do that.

If your mapping the N64 Z trigger to the 360 controller, use the Left Trigger,
the 360 Right Trigger when pressed uses minus values, but when using the Left Trigger you get plus values, Top Gear Rally 2 work perfect with the Left Trigger, when pressed lightly the speedometer inclines slowely, the harder you press it, the faster the speedometer. If you hold down left trigger and lightly press Right Trigger its will slowly decelerate, it would be easier if the right trigger had plus values though.

I am using Latest N-Rage V2
