Unhappy LoZ MM FPS problem

Whenever I hear the bells before it says "Dawn of the Second Day" the game (Majora's Mask) starts running at about 8-12 frames per second then the screen goes black. After about a minute it gives the "Dawn of the Second Day" message , then it sometimes picks up and continues as normal at around 60 FPS. You can see how this would be a pain while in a dangerous area. =P

Could it just be a problem with the rom i have or what?

Before a new day starts, the screen is supposed to shrink each next time the bell sounds.

This isn't supported by the public Jabo's Direct3D8, but clearly in your particular case, the unsupported code is lagging your video support.

What video card do you have?

I have an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller.

Sorry for the slow response, i wasn't expecting to have a reply almost an hour after my post. It's good to know that this is an active forum. =)

A couple things to try
  1. Change to use "Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5.2" through Options/Settings....
  2. Try updating the drivers for that card. Intel has a detection page here.

Yeah hopefully, and if it doesn't, the Direct3D6 device is still more compatible here.
