Default Bug in Banjo-Tooie

So I played until Jolly Roger Lagoon today in order to complete the game 100% (N64 with the game is at my parents atm :/ )

When I tried to collect the dublons I was able to find almost all coins. There should be some of them in the holes in the ground but when I drill it open no coins spawn.

They won't respawn when I re-enter the level and I can't complete all quests

Depends on the hole.

IIRC using Kazooie's Bill Drill on the ground segments in Jolly Roger's Lagoon only uncovers doubloons in some of them. The rest may contain a shock jump disc pad, some items, or even be empty and I think have nothing at all.

I found a list of where the doubloons are if you are interested.

Just Google "Banjo-Tooie doubloon locations" to find a detailed neoseeker page.

You do not need to rent the room to access jamjars.
You can be a jerk and explode the door with a
grenade egg (even I did not know you can do this before).

Which is why you'll always have 2 extra doubloons in your quest-wide "Objects and Items" list when pausing the game eternally for the rest of your save file's life (since paying to open the door to Jamjars costs 2 doubloons).
