I recently downloaded Project64 1.7.0.12. I'v been using Version 1.7.0.11 and encountered no problems with it. Since using Project64 1.7.0.12, I noticed the game runs slower with the sync game to audio option and without this, the audio is really really fast.
Has anyone else encountered this? Edit: Tried 2.0.0.11 and its exactly the same. Some games are running even slower. Last edited by jcsix; 8th March 2013 at 10:20 PM. |

Why would you want to use 1.7 when there is 2.0?

Maybe because 1.7.0.50 is compatible, stable, tested and has huge variety of rdb files to choose from while 2.0.x is less compatible, unstable and untested.

I haven't tested it out, and 1.7 was stable with the game. Edit: Just tried 2.0.0.11 Exactly the same, even with the Sync Audio function deselected and selected. I'v had a search and noticed that in the Insane framerate thread, a post by dsx! pretty much states what's occuring to me and others. The games I'm testing are a bunch of wrestling games, which worked perfect on 1.6 and 1.7 up untill 1.7.0.12. That for me, and others is when the started to have less VI/s. The AKI games are having around 50 to 53, where as other games like WarZone are only getting around 45. Last edited by jcsix; 8th March 2013 at 10:35 PM. Reason: 2.0 |

I already posted my issues with crashes and games not booting earlier in other areas of this forum, guess most of it will be fixed now. I really had larger issues with early 2.0 betas and apart from the GUI crashing every time after changing settings in 1.7.0.50, it was the best version for me, especially since it was the only version where all my games worked fine, which I could not tell for 2.0 or 1.6 back then.
And you should know, 1.7.0.50 has a large community in Spain, they even offer up to date and well tested rdb files (last Update: August 2012) for this version which turned out to be much better and more compatible than the official 1.7 and 2.0 rdb files. Guess its time to give 2.0 another try now, just need to find some time to migrate. Never change a running system, if you get older, you begin to appreciate that attitude.
