Emulator not responding to Xbox one controller

So recently I've tried to configure the controls of P64 onto my Xbox One controller on my Windows 10 PC, Having recently reset my PC because of driver issues with internet I have a fresh install of windows as well, I've never had issues with configuring it until now, the program and the emulator do not respond to each other whatsoever, the controller works perfectly fine in Rocket League, Dolphin, etc. I've even tried downloading older versions and no dice. The Emulator does however respond immaculately well to my mouse, instead of D-pad Up, I move my mouse slightly and it monitors the mouse instead. What is going on?

(EDIT: I used my brother wired 360 controller and it worked perfectly fine, but it has connection issues and I'd rather figure out what the hell is going on between the program and the controller all of a sudden)

N-Rage 2.5.2, Ive also installed multiple different versions of N-Rage and yielded no difference
