I never died from eating that shit. When I was 7 or 8 or...something, I semi-carelessly swallowed gum instead of spitting it out when done. That kinda worried my folks, but if there were any negative side effects I either didn't notice them or forgot about them. :/ BRAIN DAMAGE!!

Speaking of which I'm in the anti-aspertame group and learned about its effects, versus high-fructose corn syrup, which as opposed to the mind is worse for the body. Sounds like there is some debate, but less than 2% of aspartame in the gum seems agreed as harmless.
