Default Rogue Squadron 3D PC Version

I am a big fan of this title, for me its the best 3D ship shooter ever made, period...my second favorite would be SNES's Star Fox but you get my point.

Having say that its sad no one figured out how to fix one glitch that ruins the game: The "far away camera glitch". Aside that everything works fine in this game on modern PCs, so I guess the N64 version isn't necessary at this moment, unless for some obscure reason you still prefer the N64 version I don't know.

I remember the only one who was close to fix this was Mudlord, but then his dll disappeared, so since he seems to frequent this forum I would like to know what happened to his dll fix...

I don't remember mudlord integrating a fix to Rogue Squadron in Rice's Video Plugin.

I DO remember me supporting it partially with my INI configuration file, but I was never able to do anything useful with it because the entire microcode was essentially bypassed by the plugin, causing no 3-D geometry to ever render.

So I think there would be no plugin using HLE that would support this game playably, for the most part....

No I mean he created years ago a dll for the PC port of this game, so the glitch I mentioned was fixed. Then when I was about to download it the link was removed so I never had a close view of what he did then, maybe it broken more than it fixed but still...

Thank you for reminding me to crack and patch this game again.
Maybe I should do it for Battle for Naboo, too.

Thats if I can get my hands on the ISOs, again.

Please do so, I will be very happy if I can play again this game without that annoying "far away camera glitch", I had found a partial fix but that only works on Windows XP and not on Windows 7...

Here is a link with a partial fix: youtube.com/watch?v=TKHn8PLEJBs

I do believe it is possible to run the N64 version via Z64, and avoid this annoying problem. (and having played the PC version the last few years, I am quite familiar with this problem.)

Well that's sad, any hopes you will eventually do it? I mean when you have some free time?
