Default Graphical issues with Zelda: Ocarina of Time

First I'd like to say great forum, great emulator!

I have recently been playing around with texture packs, which was a bad idea because it is turning into a little obsession!

Here are the problems I am having:

While running Rice's plugin, both 6.14 and 6.13, I can usually load almost all the hi res textures from any pack, but the start menu subscreen is very glitchy. I found out that I can tweak the framebuffer, but it still looks all pixelated and gross. Example:

Not glitchy:

Glitchy:

This glitchy image appears just after I hit pause, and just before the menu pops up, for about 2 seconds.

But that's not the worse thing. What annoys me is that only around 80 percent of the textures load, one that namely pisses me off is right inside the hyrule city gates, backgrounds never load!

Example:

Notice how the door texture loaded fine, but not the background.

Now, onto Glide 64....

While using glide 64, I have no pause menu issues, but very few textures load for me, maybe only link's shield texture, and that's it! I got it working once, but don't know what I did.

Sorry if this has all been answered but I have done a lot of searching the last few days to no avail.

My specs are as followed:

Dell XPS M1530
Windows 7 32 bit Ultimate
3 GB ram
GeForce 8600m (mobile card, but very nice have no problems playing newer games).

Let me know if I left anything out, and thanks!

Sorry if images are too large

Ok, I thought Glide 64 seemed a whole lot better than Rice anyway, but do you have any advice on loading texture packets, because like I said in the previous post, Glide will not load a lot of textures. Does Glide only support certain extensions on files or something? I would like a little more insight.

Which version of Glide are you using? Try the WIP builds that Gonetz is keeping up.

As Squall said, Rice sucks.

The famous ones are Rice's Video Plugin, Jabo's Direct3D8, and Glide64, but texture replacement features were designed in a couple older plugins that are kind of obsolete for quality emulation today. Iirc neither of them actually loaded the textures into the game exactly.
