Default Zelda OoT problem

So I started playing zelda OoT and everything was fine until now.
when I load the save, the screen is black. It show the map and interface and stuff and when i play a song it shows it, but no screen. all black. help?

Nevermind, fixed the problem.

Try to avoid using saved states sometimes. Otherwise at least maintain native save data in case there is corruption caused by them.

Save states aren't really as good as they sound. Native saves are the best for Project64

Technically it's the only "correct" way to have the data saved since it was the only mechanism doing so that was present on the target machine. Saved states just store tons more info than any N64 game instructed to write to the cart save chip, which makes the entire save image more vulnerable to corruption.

Come to think of it saved states probably were the last thing I found out about in Project64 lol, next to the debugger I guess.

i have had similar issues.

there are 2 games, OoT and MQ say for example you F5 OoT, you would be able to F7 MQ but corrupt. they don't seem to be playable at the same time. is there a solution?

Saved states will only be stable when loaded to either a precise copy or the exact same ROM image as where they were written. Loading an OOT saved state on MQ will not work without problems.
