Connect ps3 and ps4 controller to pj64

I am having issues when connecting ps3 and ps4 controller to Project 64

Both of the controllers gets recognized, but none of them are controlling player 2. They are both controlling player 1. How can I get one of them to control player 1, and one of them to control player 2?

Anyone knows how to solve this? I have configured both controllers in the controller settings, and I have marked "plugged" on both of them.

I used a ds3 controller in the past and I use a ds4 controller now with no issues.

Usually I map them both separately and have a separate profile for each of them. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but if it ain't broken I don't try to fix em. I have my controllers wired. (I don't use bluetooth)
