Hi, I'm trying to emulate Paper Mario with Project64 2.4.0.752-g83b280f7 and I have the following problems:
1. When entering battle, the screen goes like this: ![]() for about 3 seconds 2. Opening the "Stats" screen causes the screen to go black for about a second, then it appears like this: ![]() 3. Changing tabs in the "Stats" screen looks like this ![]() Any fixes? Last edited by Lebster; 24th April 2018 at 08:06 PM. Reason: Adding tags |

I usually just deal. The same thing happens to me. Its not that bad to get to play a great game again!

What graphics plugin are you using? Do you have framebuffer emulation enabled?

I'm using "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5" and I don't know how to enable framebuffer

You have to use an accurate video plugin (Angrylion's RDP) to really enjoy this game. Which also means you have to play at native resolution too.
These other video plugins won't cut it, unless you don't mind issues like subscreen delay. |

Sorry if this is a stupid question, as I'm new to the emulation community and just want to play some old games - but how do I install "Angrylion's RDP"?

Unfortunately your computer is not supported by the multithreaded angrylion plugin and also isn't supported by GLideN64. Your best bet is probably Project64Video/Glide64.
There's no good reason to not support your hardware, but that's how things currently are. Edit: Glide64/Project64video won't even fix the delay when pressing start. Only Jabo's with enabling frame buffer will fix the delay, or accurate software rendering plugins (which are too slow for this game). |
