Can't get controller to work

Just got project 64 2.2 and downloaded a bunch of roms. Hooked up my old nintendo 64 controller and this May Flash N64 Controller Adapter. Calibrated that shit on my windows 8.1 pc. Now I set it to Nrage controller plugin. What do I do now? I can't select my GamePad anywhere. This is what I see:

So what am i supposed to do lol
Also what do I do with that memorypak rumblepak transferpak stuff. I gotta mess with those or what?

I know my pc recognizes the controller cause it shows up, and i know that project64 knows the controller is there cause when i'm editing the controls, i'll click a button like "A", press A on my gamepad and it'll change it to that.

PJ64 automatically detects controllers. You're not supposed to select your controller. The fact you can edit buttons shows it is working.
