MayFlash Adapter Issue (random diconnecting)

Hello everyone, first of all, I would like to say that I am not having an issue with configuring the adapter for pj64. I have everything perfectly configured, and when it is working, it works great. However, the adapter is randomly disconnecting from my computer, perhaps as frequently as every thirty minutes. This is extremely irritating, for I have to restart whichever emulator I am using (whether pj64 or Dolphin) and plug in the adapter again, over and over.

Now, I have a few questions for you fellows: have you experienced this issue with the MayFlash adapter, and do you recommend I purchase a new one?
If you recommend I purchase a new adapter, should I purchase a different brand? The only stipulation is that it must be two player since my brother and I often play multiplayer.

By the way, I am running Win7x64, if that helps at all. I can post any other info you might need, of course.

Searching around older threads asking with respect to having a MayFlash adapter, I haven't found anything about someone else having this issue. Maybe it might be drivers or configuration, or maybe there is a defect to the hardware which needs replacing.

Ah, that is what I think too. I have not had any luck updating drivers or whatnot.

Anyway, I ordered three wired ps3 controllers (for 19.99 too!) that I can use for these games. I already have custom drivers for ps3 controllers that were a pain to configure, but have worked very well when I have had friends over with ps3 controllers.

So you're saying the controllers themselves worked fine with a PS3 or something, just that when in use with the MayFlash adapter in its current state of drivers (might Google online to see if there's a site or archive for driver files to download) is the only issue? (I'm fairly sure that's what you said, just making sure.)

Sorry, my wording was really confusing, evidently. What I meant to say is that I am so sick of this adapter that I just ordered three wired ps3 controllers for my PC (for which I already have working drivers installed).

Oh I see. Then sounds like the specific issue was fixed. PS3 one of the most choices, a lot of people using 360 controllers as well. Should work interesting.

Looks like there might be a Windows 7 solution, if I can find where the darn driver is installed.

But I am still looking forward to my new controllers, of course. =)

The installer at some stage should bear some indication of where driver files are being written to. Unfortunately otherwise it's not that easy to find the drivers without the source unless you know file names to search for.
