Because coins high-score for Bob-Omb Battlefield is stored at *(EEPROM + 0x0025), coins for Whomp's Fortress are saved at *(EEPROM + 0x0026), coins for Jolly Roger Bay are stored at *(EEPROM + 0x0027) ,
you seem to forget what a byte array is, or that a byte is 2^8 possible digital combinations which take that minus 1 is?

LOL wise ass, I wasn't questioning why stats maxed out at 255 for coins, I already understood. I was just implying that they were stats impossible to reach my level design.

Oh, so you were just pointing out the obvious for the sake of it?

Xplorer64 is a cheat device.
It can use memory addresses to do weird things. :/

But why do that when you can cheat safely?
Wear a condom and hack the damn save file itself!
Don't be such a woman.

It's portable, too.
Solves region issues.

Sometimes on this forum, the obvious needs a reminder. Sometimes images showing someone where the power button is necessary. This isn't to help you understand what's obvious to you, this is to help people who are not necessarily knowledgeable in any of these areas to understand the point I'm trying to make. Project64 is designed to cater to people who don't know much about anything.

So using cheatcodes is by far more newb friendly than hacking savestate regardless of which method is more efficient. Also, I tend to prefer cheat codes over hacking savestates because cheat codes are capable of more exotic changes than a hacked savestate can ahieve.

Speaking in English is more newb-friendly than using a configurable emulator; one method of emulation is still unanimously more preferable over the other.

Speaking of cheat codes, you should see the ones I hacked out for SSB. I LMAO'd over 72 hours playing that game with the shit I hacked out. It's one of the few things tempting me to make a YouTube or something.

Still, an SRAM save editor for SSB would be cooler.
It wouldn't hack the game up to f*************************** (heh, stupid auto-censor) like a cheat code could, but it would do the next best thing. All the saveable stuff...it's like, more collective "organized" game-dedicated hacking.

I would love to see the codes you made. You should hold off on youtube but use it as advertising to lure people in to other stuff you want them to see.

Pfft, you and zilmar are such good entrepreneurs.

Probably the right thing to do, but I'll choose to be stubborn and modest.

ABSTINENCE FTW!!
