Project 64 wont read my second controller

Hi

My emulator does not respond at all to my second controller but the first one is fine. It doesn't matter which controller I use and both work fine in other games. I am using Ps3 controllers and I have a drive for them. They are both listed in my computers devices when plugged in. Everything seems to look right and in order but I cannot get the emulator to react to my second controller (cannot insert keys for it, nothing happens)
