Map (Original 00AA) In all codes, the order is the same, the first 4 lines of code are for the A Button icon and the last 4 lines of code are for the Map icon. If you want to see an icon in his default form on screen, then don't include his 4 lines of code. If you want to see an icon like a transparent layer, then tweak the value between 0000 and 00FF. 0000=Transparent 00FF=Solid *Keep in mind that the game change the values of the icons to make it invisible in cinemas, if you set a value to make an icon transparent, then you will see that icon in cinemas or when you enter to a new area of the game. *If you set a value for the Map less than 00AA, the you don't will see the arrows of the Map. I sugest you that don't include the lines of code of the Map, since you can hide it with L Button, but is up to you if you don't want anything on screen. Happy Gaming!!! |

Hi darkludx,
I have been using a lot of your codes. I really appreciate all the work you've put into improving OoT. Thanks! I'm playing version 1.2. It seems that your code for hiding the HUD conflicts with two other codes I want to use: Extended Draw Distance GameShark Code: 81025050 0001 Widescreen Render Fix GameShark Code: 8102504A FFFF Is there any way to make these play nice together? I really want the widescreen fix at least. Thanks! |

These codes all work in harmony. Thank you!
The no culling + extended draw distance one is a bit weird, though. It seems that close up objects in kokiri forest are not culled, which is great, but when I went out to hyrule field, some nearby trees popped into existence when I turned toward them. Much more strange, though, was a distant tree that would only be visible if it was on the sides of the screen -- the part that wouldn't be visible if I were playing in 4:3. If I turned toward the tree so it would be in the center of the screen, it disappeared. Very mysterious... I'll have to test it more and compare it to the original widescreen code I was using and decide which to use. Are these known issues with workarounds? |

I played again and went to the same spot in hyrule field. I couldn't get the issue with the trees to repeat, so maybe it was an isolated incident. I haven't noticed any distant sounds being too loud and I definitely haven't experienced any crashes. I did notice some plants popping in and out of existence, but that's uncommon and minor. It seems to be a pretty solid code. Thanks!

This Extended Draw Distance GS Code work over Enemies, NPC's, big boulders, small rocks, gravestones, standalone grass, signs, scarecrows and other objects. Sadly the code don't work over Link HD model, trees, bushes, butterflies, grouped grass and other objects. The good thing is that it does not change the sound effects.

Can someone please post a list of all codes that allow N64 games to play at 60fps? I remember Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie having one that worked great and now i see OOT also has one that doesn't work that great but it works in some areas:
Ocarina of Time 60fps: D11C8680 0000 801C6F2D 009C D11C8680 0000 801C6FA1 0003 D31C8680 0000 801C6F2D 00D8 D31C8680 0000 801C6FA1 0001 (credit to theboy181) So what other games have these kinds of codes? |
