Default Project 64 1.6 and 1.7 too fast on Doom

Hi!

First, sorry for my bad english. I'm a brazilian and my english is not very good.

Well, I use Project64 in order to play Doom 64, basically. I had never have any problems with the emulator on my previous PC, that ran under Windows XP. But I had to buy another computer, with Windows 7, and, I don't know if it is because of the operating system or because of the new PC's configuration (that is better than the other one), the Doom's character runs too fast, as him were in "always run" mode, that is NOT available on this version! Insomuch What can I do to solve that? I must give you some details:

1- The option "Limit Speed" F4 (or something like that) is marked;

2- If I press "run" button, nothing happens;

3- It's very rare, but only the player's character runs fast. The enemies, the events and the song seems to be normal. For example: on "Tech Center" level, there's a moment in which you have to press a button and go quickly toward a teleporter on the other side of the room, before it turns off. Normally, is hard to do it, and when you get it, you enter the teleporter miliseconds before it "shuts down". But now, after pressing the button, I can easily enter the teleporter. It's just an example;

4- If I press minus button (-) on PC's keyboard, the speed decreases, but the song, the sound, enemies movements, all get awful!;

5- I use Project 64 1.6 and 1.7, and both present the same problem.

Can you guys help me?

Thanks in advance!
