Unhappy controller HELP!!!!!!

for some reason P64 will not pick up my logitech gamepad. i have tried everything to configure it. i have the drivers and im running off of windows 8. I have the v 2.2 p64. I have tried doing everything I can think of and all it keeps saying is "no controller" every time i start a game. how do I fix this? I really wanna play on the emulator and i'm becoming slightly irritated by this. any advice?

Controllers seem to be real issue around here. If you have made sure that your controller is working in other games, make sure that you have checked the plugged in check mark then try and map the buttons.

Hope this helps.

Did you try contacting whoever you got the gamepad from. Maybe it might be faulty or something.

This is why I don't like to try and help 1st time posters. They don't usually reply and let you know if they got it working or not.. (probably got it working)

Kinda kills it for everyone else who is having similar issues.

I can't help but to expect Windows 8 being the primary cause of the issue since i've heard it has printer compatibility problems and other driver issues.

I wouldn't jump to Windows 8 conclusions. Just because that was the only real information that the OP gave us about his issue.
