Question 7z. Files

I have downloaded some ROMs that are 7 zip files. They do not appear on my PJ64 games list. Could someone please help?

Thanks, choco 96

Make sure they are extracted in the ROMs folder. Don't know where that folder is? Go to "Options" > "Settings..." and then click the "Directories" tab. Make sure that the "ROM Directory" that the "Last folder that a ROM was open from." isn't selected. The text box below that is where to store your ROMs. Select the text and copy it. Then hit the Windows flag button + R on your keyboard. Paste the copied text in the text box and click OK. That's where you store your ROMs.

Is the ROMs folder meant to be in the PJ64 folder, because mine is in My Documents.

Also, if there are multiple (U) files how will I know which to choose, do I just use T&E(Trial & Error)?

The zip file you got is based on TOSEC, so I suggest you read TOSEC Naming Convention (you have to search for it, as board does not allow to post URL for users with less then 5 posts )

To save you some time, you should be looking for rom with ! in it, as it marks tested working copy of the game.

(U) just stands for the region the game is from. (J) is for Japan, (U) is for North America, (E) is for Europe. Another thing to note is finding [!]. That means verified good dump. If you see something like [b1], [o1], or [p1], those are bad ROMs. Look here for more information.
