Can't save anything

Hello everyone. So I was playing turok 2 seeds of evil and I tried to use cheats but cheats won't stay checked. So I went into settings and unchecked hide advanced options and then I selected remember cheats. When I click apply, I can litteraly see the hide advanced options box re check itself and all settings go back to the way they were. It all reverts back as soon as I click apply before I hit ok. How can I fix this because it does it on every game and I've tried it on Jacobs and glaid and it does the same.
