Default N64 Revived Texture Project. 100 Games Finished in HTC format

Hi everyone I recently joined the community and wanted to share a project I been working on for the last 2 months. I heard about a program called TopazGigaPixel that helps to Upscale, and Enhance textures using A.I. interpolation. The results were very stunning on all N64 games. Some of the best results were the "RARE" games. I ended up-scaling over 100 games in the last 2 months and up-scaled all the textures to a 512x dimension. As we know most N64 textures range from 32x,64,128 so I ended up using 512 for best results. I had to keep the file sizes and texture packs to a fair minimum without running into errors even with project 64 large address aware. Some games with smaller texture packs I up-scaled to 1080p like Turok and Mario64 with nice results but didn't look any better then the 512 versions. This whole project started when I wanted to texture MOD Perfect Dark and I stumbled upon Gigapixel and ended up texture packing up 100 games in full HD glory. The results are night and Day and brings the N64 into the modern era without all the blurry textures from 20+ years ago. I highly recommend people to Dump there own textures and purchase A.I. Gigapixel and see what kind of results the community can come up with. The potential for some very interesting texture packs could be made. This texture pack project was based on ONLY enhancing the original assets. This project does not include any ROMS and this texture project is only shared freely.

As for releasing this project I have full HTC files and Loose texture folders of games now. The file size is around 170 gigs in HTC files alone. I wanted to share that anyone can dump their own textures and use GigaPixel to do a batch process on your texture folder. Its super easy but takes time and not every game RIPS correctly and needs a TON of clean up work afterwards, while other games dumped and up-scaled easily. Once I had these texture packs I ran it through Topaz Studio and did another batch process enhancing some games even further. I enhanced some games using HDR, Graphic Art Sketch, and Better saturation and color. Doing a shaded filter is a personal preference so I did my best to ONLY upscale games and KEEP their original look. Some notable games with Shaded effects and HDR are Perfect Dark, Banjo 1&2, Turok, Mario64, Zelda and more. Some texture packs games are as high as 2.5 gigs per game on average. So releasing this project might take time, on File sharing sites or using a Torrent or just releasing 1-2 games every few days. Seeing that I did 100 games it could take awhile. If people want the Loose Textures of the games then that's another 170gigs. This is why I encourage people to Rip and dump and convert themselves. These texture packs are based off original assets and not considered a full fan made texture pack from the ground up. The results though are stunning enough using A.I. that the game takes on a shape of it own using texture enhancing.

Btw the HTC files work excellent in RetroArch using Mupen64-Next "Core" most recent release. They also work obviously in Project64 and Mupen64plus using GlideN64 3.0 or 4.0.

Most games had Cheats Enabled so I could dump textures of all the levels in each game.

Most of these games are close to 100% perfect except a few games caused problems and not completed which are Smash Bros, Mario Golf and Pilot wings which textures got messed up. Practically all games are 100% playable with such amazing visuals that its like replaying and reliving these games in the developers true visual intention. Some Menus and Intro Screens could not be up-scaled because the textures were Pin strip sized which up-scaling became a problem. The only game released in DAT format is Beetle Adventure because it was the only game ripped correctly using RICE plugin but GlideN64 does not like to dump Beetle correctly and didn't like HTC format either. If anyone can do this in HTC format would be epic. Beetle seemed to be the only game dumping textures incorrectly for GlideN64. Also WCW revenge ,WCw World Tour, and Turok 2&3 would Never dump textures no matter the plugin.
