Default Widescreen HUD UI interface fix (Zelda or any game)

I've been looking all over for a solution and am at a loss. Project64 is running GlideN64 in 1080p 16:9 just fine but when I set it to "Try to Fit Screen", which appears to apply the widescreen hack, the HUD still displays in 4:3 in the middle of the screen. Is there any way to fix this so that the UI scales properly without stretching the image?

Sorry if there is an obvious answer to this that I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think this is fixable, you might be able to use something like a cheat code, but I don't know that one exists.
