Default Mario 64 Shadows and Textures?

When playing Super Mario 64, no shadows appear underneath Mario or enemies, also some textures don't show up, like the sun symbol in the castle lobby. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this?

this sounds exactly like the depth buffer problem with Intel graphics:

It fixed the texture problems, but now there's some kind of flickering problem, but it's not there when I use the Jabo plugin. Also the camera sometimes goes a little weird, like it zooms a little bit for just a second then goes back to normal.

Give graphics card spec, use glide64 or experiment with rice's screen update setting
