Default xbox one controller

Hi All.. I've been trying to figure this out for over a week now, so any help would be much appreciated!

OS: Windows 10
Controller: Xbox One (with Dongle) - working with Steam, but not with Project 64
Project 64: V 2.3.2.202
Controller Plugin: N-rage 2.5 (default with Project 64 - V 2.3.2), I've also tried N-rage v2 2.3c

I've researched the threads and tried everything I found so far, even reinstalling Project 64, to no avail.. most threads just say "oh nvm, it works now" but no info on how or why!?

I have the controller working on steam, but no matter what i try, the project 64 app will not recognize the input. I have tried plugged, but the app doesn't recognize the controller. I have tried xinput and the controls do not work in the game. I have even tried a combination of the two, but nothing has worked!

Can someone please help with setting up the xbox one controller with dongle? I also have a Bluetooth wireless xbox controller, but that one doesn't work either. Which reminds me, I tried pluggin them in with a cord and still no luck, even though windows recognizes the device!

Please help! Thanks!!

You could try using the latest beta build..
https://www.pj64-emu.com/nightly-builds
and see if that helps...
you might need xinput selected for controller 1 to get it to work...

you could also BUY this N64/USB controller from Amazon.com
I have one and it works great on Windows 7

Thanks for the reply.. I downloaded the latest (Beta) Build but still had the same issue with the controller, unfortunately. But I appreciate the response and effort! As far as the controller, I prefer using one of the newer controllers.. N64 would be much more enjoyable with a better functioning controller haha ..but again, thank you!
