Default Contrller Plugin

Hi, I need a controller plugin where you can assign 2 keys to be the same button. For instance I'm using a ps3 controller. And I want my X and Square button to both be A(n64). Can you direct me to a plugin that could work for any PJ64 with Netplay. Thanks

Pretty sure N-Rage can do it, and I think Jabo's DirectInput 1.6.1, just not plain 1.6.

Come to think of it, I can't say why zilmar declined to include Jabo's 1.6.1 plugins pack update in the 2.x packages, rather than just 1.6.

I tried them both but they can't. Can you screen shoot me how you did it, Because non of them allow A to be two different buttons on my controller

At first I thought you meant this

Here for any version of N-Rage, old or new, it was perfectly easy to set the A key on my keyboard to every button on the N64 controller.

But then I realized you were talking about something else.

You're probably going to have to dumb it down for me.
I can't understand what you people are saying with the keys/buttons/PS2 controllers and how to tell them all apart.
The only thing I use for a controller is my keyboard and its keys, so for simplicity I'll pretend you're only asking about a keyboard.

No, neither N-Rage's nor Jabo's DInput let you use multiple keys on the keyboard, to map to the same N64 controller button.

However, since you brought it up, I did write a system keyboard plugin that lets me make both 'S' and 'X' keyboard keys set to Down on the control stick, so what you're asking is possible with my keyboard plugin, just not any of the DirectX input plugins.

Looks like my reply is gone?

In short : use autohotkey or joytokey

An autohotkey script will look like that :
Joy1::Send a ; Have button #1 send a a keystroke
2Joy3::Send a; Have button #3 of the second joystick send a a keystroke

Where a is assigned to "A" (N64)
