Unable to pick up bombs in Bomberman 64

I seem to be able to do everything else just fine, just not able to pick up bombs. Not sure if I can pump or not due to this.

I know my 'b' key works as I have tried it out in Mario Kart.

I forgot if it's B+A or just B to pick up bombs.


But to start pumping one out of your own pocket, just press B+A.


And if that fails, use zilmar's Basic KeyBoard plugin or something.
Cause you must have some kind of strange per-ROM controller mapping or something.
