Help with Smash Bros, items dont render during gameplay!

The main problem when running the game in the emulator (latest version) , is that the items dont render correctly during gameplay, making it sometimes terrible to play in some games, Diddy Kong racing players at distance transform into triangles, my laptop specs are good I currently own the latest Alienware R2, I know its workable because I use to emulate with and older version of Project 64 and the gameplay was perfect without any issues, only that it closed because of some error after long hours of play.
