i cant use save state

is already the 3th time i trie to play super mario 64 i save state i get 12 stars i save state close the game and boom have to start all over again and before i do that the save state works but when i close and open again its not there anymore

Don't use savestates, use ingame saves.

they dont work either but i learned if i use CRTL L i can save on file and CRTL L can select the file i saved

If you insist, but don't complain when your save gets corrupted
