I've recently been trying to use a texture pack on the new beta of P64. I could get this to work on 1.7 perfectly fine, but on the new version the "nintendo" at the beginning doesn't load, nor does the entire press start part of the screen, and the hud fails to load upon entering the game.
I'm using Mudlord's Rice 6.1.4 and the game works perfectly fine without the "Hi-Res Textures" option and was just wondering if there was just wondering if anyone knew what was going on. Thanks for any help or input. |

Not sure what cause this but it works on my Pj64 2.0.0.6 and tested Zelda OoT with texture pack from Djipi
I run it with plugin: Glide64 Final May 8, 2012 running in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Glide64 is known to crash with compatibility mode disabled on 1.7... Likely that you applied compatibility mode to your Pj64 1.7 and forgot to do that again to 2.0?

Hmmm well I downloaded glide and I got my current texture pack to work. So I'm happy about that. I've never had to run any project 64 in compatibility mode before though it does seem to help when using Glide64.
Thanks a bunch, though its still weird that rice doesn't work correctly. |

I'm not sure if I ever attempted to use Glide64, but then again it has been so long since I used hi-res textures in either case anyway.

Considering I can't create new threads, I suppose I'll ask here.
I want to install a Texture Pack for Star Fox 64, but when I find my .zip file it just says, "The .zip file you selected is not a valid texture pack." I'm incredibly confused with all the information coming my way, but I managed to get something about a plugin? I just don't know which one. |
