Hello everyone!
It's cool seeing that people are still active on this. Anyway, I've started trying to utilize Netplay with a few friends and I'm encountering some really bad desynching issues when it comes to using Kaillera. Whenever we play a game, almost immediately we become desynched and our keystrokes never keep up with what is happening in game. As for technical specs, see attached picture. I have Verizon FIOS and my ping is usually somewhere close to 35ms when we play. Is there something stupid that I'm missing? Do I need to forward ports even if I'm not hosting? Thanks in advance! -Mike |

Kaillera implementation is hacked on pj64 1.4 "pj64k" mod by hotquik.
It would be better to use an alternative But if you use pj64k make sure that everyone uses the same input plugin and save file; that's one common cause of instant desync.

What do you mean by alternative? Do you mean a different emulator or something else?

Basically. PJ64K is technically a hack off of old files, and it's probably not best to put too much effort into getting it to work well. AFAIK Mupen (God save me for saying that) has interweb play that's actually on top of their updated code (though I don't know how often mupen updates, or if they even have; I don't follow it at all really)
