Default getting nrage to accept the x-axis input on my controller

hi, guys. Im wondering if any of you can help me. I love project64 and its the most accurate and fastest emulator ive used. I have a Linux box (Ubuntu), and ive managed to get it working in wine (windows API environment provider). it works great. The only problem im having is getting the input plugin to accept the right inputs. The controller driver goes through the kernel so the dead zones wouldn't work. I calibrated it and with nrage i managed to get all the inputs to work without too much effort but one. the x-axis + wont enter in. I've checked to make sure its not the controller. Im wondering if you guys have any tips or tricks i could do to make nrageV2 see the x-axis + or if i could manually edit the .cfg file to make it work. I looked at the file. The values were in hexadecimal and i didn't know what stood for what so i left it alone for now. I've asked the Ubuntu community since p64 is meant to be run in windows. but they just ignored my thread.
