No Controller - Help Please

Hi all,

ps4 controller is hooked up to pc through ds4, I have configured the controller through p64 and it does not work and sometimes it says no controller in the game when rom is selected, happened on various games,

not sure what to here, any help would be fantastic as seen youtube videos and looks so easy - so not sure what I'm doing wrong
