try to check "Event Viewer" there should be a log of the crash with detailed info about what caused the crash.

EDIT... now I've tested in full screen and got the same error, here is a picture.

See, that's what I was talking about! I got exactly that same error earlier with a different plugin (I'm using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6), this is my problem, and apparently, you have it too. Like I said, I think it's DirectX12 that's causing this! By the way, I can't find "Event Viewer".

yes, seems something in Windows 10 is causing that, but only recently, anyway try to report it in the Windows Feedback app, is the only effective way to report it.

I did... But I don't think that'll be much help.

I also apparently can't run edited SM64 roms... I guess I'm gonna have to go back to Windows 8.1.

So, I found out it's a bug in the newest version of Windows 10, it's listed on Microsoft's website. Hopefully their fix will also make custom roms work again... http://prntscr.com/75hp2t

For SM64 hacks, you have to switch to 8MB memory - right click on the list and press "Edit Game Settings"

Thank you! I already did that for the regular rom, but I forgot to do it in the edited one! XD

Just use compatibility mode for Windows 8. That fixed the problem for me. This does need to be fixed in a way more people will understand though.
