Default Cannot open a rom because plugins have not successfully initialized

So i was just playing some starfox 64 for like 2 hours. I rage quit.. LOL Then like 10 min later i got bored and went to play some more then i get the error in the title and direct 3d failed to initialize. I also get the default or selected video plugin is missing or invalid. Check that you have at least 1 compatible plugin file in your plugin folder. HELP PLEASE. I LOVE THESE GAMES

I also tried re installing it so yea..

Probably because your system didn't even support the DLL that time.

You can run dxdiag and get your installed DirectX version?
Also what video card you have then

Default My Personal Solution

On my computer I did not have any speakers plugged in and that was actually what was wrong. You need to have the audio working as well (at least on my computer)

Martious, what error message do you get exactly? Try installing into a directory to which you have full read/write permissions like C:\User\<youruser>
